drivers of Radio Cab Company, began "The
Turkey Fund" in 1996 to give back to the
community. We started by giving fewer than 50
turkeys the first year and have grown to giving
away over 1,000 complete turkey dinners last
year. With your help we can continue our service
to those in need.

For the last nine years the Radio Cab “Turkey Project” has helped countless families during
the holidays by having the community write us letters, telling us of a family in need, and every
year the number of people asking for our assistance grows. The Radio Cab “Turkey
Project” helped an estimated 960 families in the Portland/Metro area in 2004, and 1018
families in 2005. In addition to the “Turkey Project”, Radio Cab Co has been involved with
other driver inspired projects and events over the years, from giving backpacks full of school
supplies to students and schools in the Portland area, to providing elementary school
children with their first bicycles and helmets.
In 2005, Radio Cab Co. established the Radio Cab Foundation to bring all of these different
causes under one umbrella to better help the community. The Radio Cab Foundation is a
501-(C) (3), accepting tax deductible donations in the Portland/Metro area. Although set up
originally as a food bank, we help many families, individuals and organizations with many
different types of projects throughout the year. We are a 100% volunteer organization with a
simple philosophy; to empower those less fortunate than ourselves to deal with Life’s
struggles in whatever way we can.

Please tell us about you or someone you know in the Portland/Metro area: • Victims of tragedies caused by everyday life. • Those on Unemployment, Military Families, Military Veterans. • People & families that don’t qualify for “State” services, their benefits have run out or haven’t started yet. Our only criteria is your recommendation! • One dinner per household, please Letters should contains: A brief description of the family’s current circumstances. The number of children & adults in the family. A contact name, address and phone #, if available. The best time for us to contact the home for delivery.
